Design Show

NYU Tisch Department of Design for Stage and Film

Role: Creative Producer

Design Show is a portfolio showcase for the graduating class of the Department of Design for Stage and Film at NYU Tisch. Over the course of three days, we transform the department’s classrooms and workspaces into a museum quality gallery experience, exhibiting the stellar work of these emerging costume, lighting, scenic, and production designers.

As creative producer, I oversaw a crew of 30+ people to build the exhibition. This included large scale technical construction down to minute and nuanced exhibition details. I served as the creative lead, ensuring professional quality throughout the exhibit. I guided the showcased designers through decisions about their displays, helping them show themselves in the best possible light. Our load in ran smoothly thanks to the project management work I executed: clear paperwork, schedules of daily milestones, and transparent and collaborative task tracking systems.
